To highlight the effect of technology on human life and nature, K R Mangalam, Gurugram organised an annual class presentation of class VI. The presentation was titled ‘TECHNOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT – A LIMITATION OR EXTENSION’. The event was celebrated with zest, vibrancy and elation with a motive to spread awareness regarding the current use of technology and showcasing the futuristic use of it. The presentation was woven beautifully depicting the involvement of technology in conventional human life and progressed towards its’ present and future. The programme commenced with a welcome song to greet the guests present. The cultural programme began with a welcome dance showcasing the five elements comprising the earth; entailed by a skit presentation on limited intervention of technology in the past stressing upon the holistic life spent by humans with minimum dependency on technology.A small skit showcasing the hold of technology on our lives at present captivated the audience proving to be a reality check for all of us today.A talk show involving a mock international techno summit further accentuated the aura of the show giving it a global dimension and captivated the audience with its vigour and fervour.Our children gave a soul stirring performance showing our careless attitude towards usage of water and consequences of it through mime which was followed by a message oriented street play. The presentation concluded with an alluring dance performance by our ebullient students projecting the selfless love and care that our nature deserves.Stating the essential difference between human needs and wants, our Principal Ms. Priya Arora brought out an important message for all that although technology is an integral part of our lives, but our water, air and plants are our real treasures which should be used judiciously so that they are enjoyed by our future generations. She was superlative in her appreciation and congratulated the students and teachers for putting up a successful event.Our principal encouraged the guests to be the impetus for change.
