Inter House Debate Competition

An Interhouse Debate Competition was held at K.R. Mangalam World School, Gurugram for classes XI and XII. The topic for class XI was “Artificial intelligence is taking over our lives.” and for class XII, the topic was “Digital connectedness has resulted in a stressed generation.”
The guest of honour was Ms. Deepthy P. Nair, a postgraduate in Mass Communication and a Content Writer for web marketing firms. Respected Principal ma’am, Ms Sunita Nagpal felicitated the guest of honour and welcomed her to the school.
The competition was keenly contested between all the four houses; Emerald, Ruby, Topaz and Sapphire. Each team consisted of three members, one for the motion, one against the motion and an interjector. The participants from both the classes presented their views in a highly assertive manner and captivated the audience with their brain storming arguments.
The winners of the Debate Competition from class XI were:
Nia Vashistha (Emerald), S. Karun Vikash (Ruby) and Pratham Sahni(Topaz)
The winners from class XII were:
Vadang Chaudhary (Emerald),Ansh Tyagi (Emerald) and Krishang Juneja (Emerald)
The guest of honour also shared inspiring words with the students and applauded the efforts put in by the participants. The event concluded with the school song by the school Student Council.
The Interhouse Debate Competition was quite an enriching and insightful experience for the students.
