Report: Workshop on table etiquettes
“Etiquettes cost nothing but mean everything”
Etiquettes are reflection of the personality of an individual. Good table manners are an integral part feature of the Etiquettes. It prepares the students for their future both socially and professionally. To inculcate good etiquettes, a workshop was conducted by K R Mangalam World School, Gurugram on 8th August for the students of Nursery. The teachers enlightened the children with good table manners by showing a PowerPoint presentation wherein they were taught about how to hold cutlery, proper use of napkin by keeping it on the lap, keeping the elbows off the table while eating and chewing with the mouth closed. They were also taught not to watch TV or use gadgets while eating. The students learnt by doing it themselves as they were made to sit on a table and do as explained.
It is important that the children are provided with the right environment that teaches them valuable habits like the table manners at an early age. It was a fruitful and interesting workshop for the students.
